How To Make An Andorian
Page 2 - Colorization
We can do this one of two ways. The first way is to just go ahead and colorize the image the shad of blue you want. The problem with that is that you may not be able to get a particular shade of blue that is visually appealing to you. The second way is to remove all the color from the image and then color it the blue shade you want. The advantage of this is that after you decolorize (Photoshop) you can save the image for later use - like when we make our Orion, or Klingon. I prefer to remove the color, first. See How to make an Orion for detailed information on Decolorization
02a. - Click on Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Colorize. Make Hue and Saturation each 0.
02b. - Once you have a decolorized image save it. File>Save As>select a directory or folder, type in a name, then click Save. Make sure you save it as a JPEG file. I named this image jolie_raiderGREY.jpg. If you get the dialog that talks about saving the image to this format will reduce the limitation blah, blah, blah. Click OK. Don't worry about it. It means nothing to us newbies.

02c. - Click on Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Colorize. We need to do two things. First, make sure the number in the Saturation section is set to 50 or higher. If it is set lower than 50 the rainbow that is in the Hue section will be faded out and you may not be able to see the different colors. Now, just click on the down arrow in the Hur section and select your color. In our case, we selected a shade of Green. You'll notice the number in the Hue section says 154. I've found that anything between 100 to 125 works well. The shade of Blue that looks appealing to you depends on the skin color of the person you what to Andorianize. The darker the shade of skin color the better the results. Angelina, when out in the Sun, tans a nice olive complexion.
