How To Make A Borg Queen

Page 2 - Resizing, Mirroring, and Layering

Now that we have our two images we have to reverse, or mirror image, one of them. It's easier to do the image we need to do the most manipulating. In this case, we'll mirror image Janeway. The main reason we are mirror imaging Janeway is to orient her face to the same direction as the Borg Queen. We're also going to resize Janeway to match the Borg Queen. As it is now the Janeway image is half the size we need.

02a. Click on Janeway. Then do CTRL-M (Hold the CTRL key down and tap once on the M key.) The long way is to click on Image>Mirror. To resize, do a Shift-S and type in 150 for the width. Hieght should automatically update to 150. You can see How Make A Ferengi for more detailed information. Next, click on the Lasso tool and draw around Janeway's face. Copy it and paste it into the Borg Queen image. You can also read How to make a Ferengi on performing this step.

02b. - Next we have to rotate the image to the right sothat the eyes and mouth can line up. I have already experimented on rotating the image. Click on Image>Rotate and type 10. See page 4 of How to make a Ferengi to learn and understand rotating parts

02c. - Set the Tranparency to 51 and erase everything you don't need: The neck, parts of the lower cheeks, the forehead and eyebrows.
