How To Make An Orion
Page 5 - Applying the skin
We're going for the home stretch now. We are going to "apply" the green skin to the original image.
05a. - Click on the Green shades image. This highlights the entire image. Click on Edit>Copy. Holding the CTRL key and hitting the C button does the same thing. Now click anywhere on the original image. Then click on Edit>Paste>Paste as New Layer. This is the easiest way. We just pasted a Layer on top of the original. Save the original with a defferent name. I named my Angelina_jolie_gqORION.kpg
05b. - You can now minimize the original Green Angelina or close it. Let's minimize it. We may need it again. Just click on the box with the underline. It's located in the upper right corner of the image. Once you've closed or minimized the Green image, increase the size of the ORION image now. View>Zoom>Zoom In. Do this until is fills the work area - top to bottom.

05c. - There are two places that are very important: The first one is located on the right side. It looks like this. Look closely at the section labeled LAYER. See the two items: Raster and Background? Raster is the green image and Background is the original image. Immediately to the right of the word Raster is an Eye and a shaded bar with the number 100 in it. Click the mouse in the center of that bar. Noticed that the picture turned a pale green? Go to 05d.

05d. - And this toolbox on the left side. Remember these items. The cross with the arrows at the end of each tip, the rectangle underneath the cross, the hand with the finger touching the "ground", and the pencil end with the eraser. Click on the Cross and move the cursor anywhere on Angelina's face. Hold the left mouse button down and move the cursor. Release the button. You moved the green layer. This can be useful when you need to move a small image on to of a large image. We won't need to more the image. Click on Edit>Undo. Our Layer is back in place. Now, click on the down arrow next to the Hand. Click on the fuzzy ring. That is Soften. Now it is time to do some work.
